The purpose of the meeting is to follow-up a resolution of the national council from the 2023 conference:
“That when the Consolidated Annual Accounts are ready, there is an opportunity to hold a Special Annual General Meeting online to ask questions before they are formally received”
There is no specific provision in the MWWL Constitution for a Special Annual General Meeting. However, section XIV General Meetings enables an Extraordinary General Meeting.
A quorum requires 51% of financial branches and the National Executive Committee.
The Consolidated Annual Accounts will be emailed to branches when the Audit is complete.
